Local paper features Farragut district website.
The Farragut School District website is in the news again. Last month The Lincoln Journal Star mentioned their proactive postings on anti-bullying. This month the Southwest Iowa News called Farragut schools a "computer trail-blazer".
Superintendent Jay Lutt has been a SOCS user and advocate since September 2004. "It is a very simple program," Lutt tells the SWIowaNews. "It is just so easy to use. Any teacher or staff member can do a web page in a matter of minutes." To see the entire article, read Farragut school a computer trail-blazer.
The Farragut district website can be found at www.farragutschools.org. Because Lutt found the SOCS system so easy to use, in the summer of 2006 he created www.seeds-ia.org, a informational portal for Student Excellence through Educational Development Staff (S.E.E.D.S.). S.E.E.D.S. is a collaborative effort of educators in Essex, Farragut, Nishna Valley and Stanton School districts with AEA 13.
